The Silhouettes
To start choosing your dream wedding dress, we always begin by establishing the best silhouette to fit your style and most importantly your body. Below you will see
the 5 main silhouettes but there are quite a few more (click
here if you have questions regarding your silhouette).
A straight, simple dress that follows the body line, can usually hang free from the bust line, or it can hug your body. The principal characteristic is that it doesn't carry a train.
A sheath cut in a bias is sensual dress as it tends to cling and show the natural shape of your body
A dress that is fitted all the way from torso and through the hips, hugging all the way to the knees, and then flares out to the bottom.
This particular shape is one of the most sexy silhouttes, and it will emphasize every single area of your body.
It hugs the bodice all the way to the midhip and the widens gradually to the bottom. It's a variation of the mermaid really but it flares out just below the hip.
The difference is that with a trumpet you can have more fabric and make it more elaborate in the skirt because it will have more material to work with.
A very simple line that starts anywhere from shoulders (bust or under bust) hugging the upper torso, and that widens gradually toward the bottom. It is characteristic to have a seamless waistline.
A fitted bodice with a puffy full skirt.
This is ideal if you are busty and have a long torso or want to hide anything from the waist down.
